ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Hey There!
I'm CARLA PEDERSON, a mother of 2 kids (and their spouses), + 2 grandkids, (plus one on the way!) + 3 granddogs, craft nut, and entrepreneur, living in a northern suburb of Minneapolis, MN with my awesome husband!
I have achieved a Master of Science Degree in Educational Administration and Leadership, a Community Education Director's License, and an Administrative Certificate in Non-Profit Organizational Leadership. With over twenty-years in the education field, it is my passion to assist families in achieving academic success within the multitude of educational options. With personal experience as a home school mom, preschool teacher, K-8th grade instructor, community education teacher, school-age care district manager, and a director, it is my privilege to author a book providing information on another educational option. I am aware that not every family fits nicely within the one-size-fits-all public education system. Much is happening in our world, and I know there are families within our communities who are pondering homeschooling. Therefore, as a life-long educator, I saw the need and knew it would be important for families to receive quality, evidence-based, accurate information so they could make a well-informed decision.
HOMESCHOOLING YOUR CHILD: REMOVING THE FEARS BEFORE YOU COMMIT- is for any family pondering the idea of homeschooling. This guide will walk you through all the critical steps in order to have a successful homeschooling experience! It is full of important information, real-life stories, statistics, and includes a resource directory. A must read for any homeschooling family!
In addition, I love to read mysteries. I am proud to present the first two books of three in a mystery thriller, CIA suspense trilogy. As an avid mystery reader, I love a great ending and I know you are going to love the surprise ending in Book Three of
The MG53 FACTOR SERIES!
Book One: Shattered Dreams
Book Two: The Secret Wing
If you enjoy Baldacci, Patterson, and/or Coulter novels-
you will love these books! If you enjoyed the Hunger Games Trilogy -
you will love these books!
In my spare time - I love spending time with my children, grandchildren, other family members, and friends. They all mean the world to me! Other hobbies include: hiking, traveling, baking, crafting, learning new skills, and enjoying unique experiences.
For a variety of reasons, my favorite authors include David Baldacci, Lee Child, James Patterson, Dan Brown and Catherine Coulter.
David Baldacci: I love his Will Robe series best because his character is strong, focused, intelligent, understands his capabilities, and always completes his mission. Robe keeps a simple and organized life—perfect for an assassin, right? And yet, Baldacci makes Robe likeable through his interactions with a female character—Jessica Reel, demonstrating he still has a human, personable-side.
Lee Child: His Reacher series is top notch. I admire how Child has depicted his Reacher character as one who knows who he is, what he stands for, and one who follows his convictions and values in all circumstances. Many days I wish I could be more like Reacher!
James Patterson: I so enjoy his original works and especially the Alex Cross series. I think we can all relate to Alex Cross with regards to the challenges of balancing a career and family.
Dan Brown: I love how he educates his readers on historical places and events throughout his stories. He's the best!
Catherine Coulter: Her FBI (Savich/Sherlock) husband-wife team series is always intriguing, entertaining, and well-worth the read.
Why did you write this mystery?
I admire so many mystery writers, and they have inspired me to write a mystery thriller as well. My goal is to create a complex, multi-layered mystery thriller that keeps readers guessing while providing a steady flow of clues for constant engagement. The initial story idea for this book has spanned across three years to ensure the plot and characters are fully woven into the three books with no loose ends.
In working with established authors and editors, the feedback I have received is how fascinated they are by the depth and complexity of my plot and the line-up of fantastic characters. They have provided credibility to my writing style and passion to write.
My most treasured aspect to this trilogy is that I love a great ending—therefore, each book will be filled with action-packed scenes, surprise endings, and cliffhangers. Book three of the trilogy will give the reader scene after scene of clues and suspense. However, they have been created to thwart your efforts from solving the final chapter reveal in book three.
The mission should you accept it—will you solve the mystery before the final reveal in book three?
(My bets - you won't!)
